The Garage Sale, The Clean Up, and The Wrap.

Troop 240 had a garage sale this weekend as a fundraiser for Northern Tier. It was hot, long, and not much excitement went around, but our Scoutmaster says we raised around $200 per Scout. Plus, what we didn't sell at the end of the day we donated to Purple Heart, so we fulfilled that part of the Scout Oath. This also brings the number of posts to a total of three, the requirement for Communications. So, to any future Scouts whom gaze upon this age, I sincerely hope this helps you on your way not only to earning the Communications Merit Badge, but to getting the Eagle Rank and helping your community.

And on the second post!

Just had a Scouting Meeting today. We went over the Personal Fitness Merit Badge, had the little ones choose their Merit Badges for Summer Camp, and other productive like things. I already have the Personal Fitness Merit Badge, so I just exercised the whole time to give the others an incentive and prepare for Northern Tier. Still need to work on those Eagle required Merit Badges, but I'll probably have the third post on this done on Saturday, as we have an Eagle Court of Honor that day. Should be using the to both motivate myself and others to make sure we are on track to getting Eagle ourselves. I am also continuing my ever-present quest to refine this blog into something readable. Can't think of much else to say at this point, so I'll just leave it be.

Starting Post

To anyone reading this, you are looking at the start of a new blog. My blog, designed not only to fulfill the BSA Communications Merit Badge Requirement 7a, but also serve as a great example so other scouts can get their Eagle Badge too. Stuff will be written, mainly about PLCs, Camp outs, and Meetings, but also other Scouting Events as well. For those gazing at this site because they are furiously scrambling for the Communication Merit Badge, you can find a link to the requirements here. Good luck to all those also in the Pursuit of Eagle, and happy scouting.
